Hello,

I was wondering if you could send me some more information on where the Filipino grocery in Columbus is located. Also, is there an area where more Filipino's live in Columbus. My wife is Filipina and we are moving to Columbus soon. bobs1130@yahoo.com

Thank you

When my wife reaquired her Philippine citizenship through the Philippines San francisos consulate, the entire process, including mail time both ways took only six days. I'd suggest rather than waiting and wondering you simply give the embassy or the consulate that you used a phone call. You have nothing to lose and if there was an issue where the application was held up becuase of some papwork issue, you might save alot of time, emailing, etc.

Also, an importnat tip. If you and your wife were married outside the Philippines, be _sure_ to send your marriage certificate to the embassy for certification _before_ you come to the Philippines. You can not get a US marraiage certificate registered with the Philippines DOFA from within the Philippines, and there may be times you need to produce proof of marriage. Some Philippine agencies do not recognize marriage certificates which are not DOFA certified. It's easy to do while still in the US, cheap insurance so to speak.
